French 19th Century Chandelier

Maria Theresa Beaded

This chandelier gets its name from Empress Maria Theresa of Austria and a palace chandelier she had made in the 18th century of large Bohemian crystal bobeches to show off Venetian glass art.

Location

   Newark, NJ.

Duration

The cleaning process was completed in 3 hours.

Approach

Because this chandelier was located in a kitchen, the crystal was exposed to cooking oils and particulates. The coated fixture required a stronger cleaning solution and a bit of elbow "grease".

Comments

This beautiful piece cleaned up as if it were brand new on a showroom floor. This job included a dinning room chandelier and hallway sconces that lead to a downstairs movie theater (not featured in photos).
